"The Dybbuk" in Russia

"The Dybbuk" by Krzysztof Kopczyński has been shown 3 times in Russia: 18th of September at the closed screening for filmmakers in the garden of Dmitry Kabakov in Zavoronki near Moscow, 19th of September at the cinema FAKEL in Moscow within the Polish Cinema Club and 21st of September at Flahertiana International Film Festival in Perm. Q&A with the director was done after each screenig.


"Kites" and "The Dybbuk" at 6th Sokołowsko Film Festival Hommage à Kieślowski

"Kites" by Beata Dzianowicz and "The Dybbuk" by Krzysztof Kieślowski will be screened at 6th Sokołowsko Film Festival Hommage à Kieślowski organized at the place where Krzysztof Kieślowski was born on 10th and 11th of September. On the second day, Dzianowicz, Kopczyński and Jacek Petrycki will participate in the panel "Art of documentary - film as a tool and instrument in the fight against intolerance, war and violence".

"The Dybbuk" won the award at the 2nd Moscow Jewish Film Festival in the category "Conflict". 


"The Dybbuk" in competition of the Andrei Tarkovsky International Film Festival "Zerkalo"

"The Dybbuk" will take part in the competition of the 10th Andrei Tarkovsky Film Festival "Zerkalo" in Ivanovo and Plyos by the Volga river. We invite you for two screenings: at the cinema "Łódź" in Ivanovo (17th of June, 12:00) and Levitan Culture Center in Plyos (18 of June, 19:00), both with Q&A with the director.

The program director of the festival which takes place in area associated with Tarkovsky's childhood is Andrei Plachow, one of the greatest contemporary film critics, honorary president of FIPRESCI. It is worth to recall that "Dybbuk" was edited by Michał Leszczyłowski - the editor of the last Tarkovsky's film, "The Sacrifice" (1986).

After the screening the Q&A with the director Dr. Krzysztof Kopczyński as well as Dr. Uri Gershovich, a great researcher of Jewish culture and religion and famous cinema lover.
