"52 Percent" at the Curt.doc festival in Spain

Once again a film produced by Eureka Media was shown in Spain. This time it was Rafał Skalski’s documentary "52 Percent" took part in the Curt.doc festival, which took place in the town of Vidreres in north-east Spain. The festival whose full name is Curt.doc 1st Vidreres International Short Documental Film Festival was last from the 26-28 of June 2008.

The documentary film "Obcey (Other)" directed by Iwona Siekierzyńska, has been presented on the 20th of June at 7:00 PM in Konin. The screening was organized by the "Otwarcie" foundation working with disabled children and teenagers, in connection with the opening of the foundations new headquarters. Around 60 persons attended the screening including the foundations pupils. The organizers mentioned Eureka Media’s input in the organization of the presentation.

In the Polish weekly "Polityka" (nr. 24/2008) an article entitled "Looking for the Absolute" by Janusz Wróblewski, concentrating on the situation of Polish documentary has been published. One of the films mentioned in the article is Krzysztof Kopczyński’s "Stone Silence".

Between the 12-23.06.2008 in Germany the 6th edition of the New Polish Film Festival "Filmland Polen" took place. The screenings took place in four communal movie theatres in northern Germany: Hannover, Hamburg, Lubeck, and Bremen. Four films realized under the "Russia-Poland. NewGaze" project took part in the festival: "52 percent" (dir. Rafał Skalski), "The Seeds" (dir. Wojciech kasperski), "The Suburban Train" (dir. Maciej Cuske), "7 x Moscow" (dir. Piotr Stasik).

SilverDocs is an international documentary film festival organized in the United States by The American Film Institute and Discovery Channel. This years edition took place between the 16-23 of June 2008. The films "52 percent" (dir. Rafal Skalski) and "The First Day" (dir. Marcin Sauter) took part in this festival.
