"Stone Silence" Awarded at "dokumentART" »

The film "Stone Silence" directed by Krzysztof Kopczyński has received the 3rd prize at the 17th edition of the European Film Festival "dokumentART" that finished in the 22nd of October. The festival took place simultaneously in Neubrandenburg in Germany and Szczecin in Poland.

Between the 16-24 of October for the 6th time the Lisbon International Documentary Film Festival DOCLISBOA took place in Lisbon. This year "Stone Silence" directed by Krzysztof Kopczyński was presented at the event. "Stone Silence" was screened the thursday 23rd at 18h15 in Culturgest (festival's headquarters). It took part in the "Investigations" competition. In last years DOCLISBOA edition Marcin Sauter's film "The First Day" has received the Johnnie Walker prize for best short documentary film.

The audience of the Camera Silesia festival had a chance to see Joanna Rajkowska’s documentary film "Maja Gordon goes to Chorzow". The festival took place between the 17-23.10.2008 in the "Amok" Cinema Studio in Gliwice. The event concentrates on films related with the region of Northern Silesia.

Between the 17-22 of October 2008 the European Film Festival Szczecin/Neubrandenburg took place. Krzysztof Kopczyński’s documentary "Stone Silence" took part in the event. The festival took place at the same time both in German Neubrandenburg and Polish Szczecin, selected films were also shown in other cities in the region.

"The First Day" in Egypt

The film "The First Day" (dir. Marcin Sauter) was shown in Egypt during the 12th edition of the Ismailia International Festival for Documentary & Short Films in the competition section. There was also presented Krzysztof Kopczynski's "Stone Silence" in "Tribute programme about the Contemporary Polish Documentary & Short Films". The festival took place from between the 15-22 of October 2008.
