Piotr Dumała, one of the most intriguing authors of animated movies had the retrospective of his films on 9th International Film Festival Era New Horizons in Wrocław. Moreover, his first feature film ,,The Forest” was shown twice during this event in New Polish Film Competition. Adam Sikora as a director of photography has created unique world in black and white and film itself is moving with its multidimensional, unusual plot. There is no doubts that very interesting movie has occurred. It is easily seen in the review of "The Forest" that was published in Gazeta Wyborcza (27th of July 2009, edition from Wrocław).

"Stone Silence"

The screening of the "Stone Silence" in Italy

"Stone Silence" directed by Krzysztof Kopczyński was presented on the 25th of July in the town of Vincenza in Italy. The screening was co-organized by the Alpine Club (Dueville section) and the Trento Film Festival which "Stone Silence" was presented at in 2008.

The 7/8 issue of the "Kino" magazine contains an interview with Piotr Dumała. It is dedicated to the film "The Forest" - a first fiction film by Dumała, so far known as an animator - which premiere screening is taking place on the 27th of July at the Era New Horizons film festival in Wroclaw, Poland. "While shooting I felt as if my drawings materialized", says Dumała in the interview.

"Borovichok" in Brasil

The documentary film "Borovichok" by Siergiej Loukiantchikov will take part in the Assim Vivemos 2009 film festival in Brasil. The film will be shown in August in Rio de Janeiro, in the city of Brasil in September and in Sao Paulo in October.

"The Art of Silence" in Koszalin

The 28th edition of the Koszalin First Films Festival "Young and Film" took place on the 16th-20th of June. One of our last documentaries, "The Art of Silence" by Rafael Lewandowski, was screened as on of three best projects produced by TVP Kultura in 2008. The screening took place on 16th June at 9.30pm at the "Kryterium" cinema.
