The Best Cinematography Award for "The Forest"

The cinematographer Adam Sikora was awarded on the International Film Festival in Cuenca, Ecuador. He got the prize for the photography for "The Forest" directed by Piotr Dumala. The event started on November the 5th and lasted for a week. "The Forest" was presented in the International Competition section.

One World Slovakia festival is a counterpart of the One World Festival taking part in Prague, Czech Republic. Slovakian edition took place 3-8 November in Bratislava. Similarly to the Czech edition recent Beata Dzianowicz's documentary "Kites" was shown there. Screenings were scheduled as following: 4th Nov, 16.30 Mladost cinema and 8th Nov, 19.20 club A4.

"17 of August" by Alexander Gutman awarded in Leipzig »

"17th of August" by Alexander Gutman won a Honorary Mention on the 52th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film. The Jury said in the verdict: "The Honorary Mention goes to a film that has found a cinematic equivalent to the deep isolation of its subject. In the most direct of terms it conveys the profound drama of limited human experience".

"17th of August" by Alexander Gutman took part in the main competition on the 52th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (DOK Leipzig). On the other hand, Krzysztof Kopczyński was invited to the Doc Alliance Jury. Doc Alliance is a partnership which emerged as a result of the co-operative effort of five key European documentary film festivals – CPH:DOX Copenhagen, DOK Leipzig, IDFF Jihlava, Planete Doc Review Warsaw and VISIONS DU REEL Nyon.
