A movie directed by Karolina Bielawska and Julia Ruszkiewicz will be screened on 5th of March during the Dox Box documentary film festival  in Damascus. It is the 4th edition of the festival and will last from 2nd to 10th March 2011.

Success of "Skylight" in Gdansk

800 viewers came on Sunday evening to the cinema „Neptun” in Gdansk to see the premiere of “Skylight. High Access Service Workers Co-operative.” directed by Jacek Knopp. It is a story about a co-operative established in 1983 by the group of oppositionists from Tricity. One of the protagonists, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, was among the audience, as well as Minister of National Education Katarzyna Hall, Mayor of Gdańsk Paweł Adamowicz, Governor of Pomerania Roman Zaborowski and numerous co-workers of “Skylight” with their families. Jacek Knopp, Krzysztof Kopczyński and Tadeusz Łaszczewski represented the authors of the film, Polish Film Institute – co-financer of the film, was represented by Jacek Fuksiewicz, and the European Solidarity Center – co-producer by Patrycja Medowska.
Mostly discussed subject was the phenomenon of the company, as it functioned really effective in times of martial law, was economically successful and supportive for Polish underground and numerous social initiatives. There were also some critical comments – that is why we all the more encourage to watch the documentary in Polish Television TVP2 (we will inform you about time and date of the screening).

"The Forest" in Lisbon

Film by Piotr Dumała will be shown on Monstra Animated Film Festival in Lisbon. It is the 10th edition of the event and will take place from 21st to 27th of March 2011. During the festival Piotr Dumała will lead also a Masterclass titled  “Between Animation and Feature Film”. The classes will take place on 26th of March at 3.30 p.m.

"Planet Kirsan" on Full Frame Documentary Festival

An international premiere of documentary movie "Planet Kirsan" directed by Magdalena Pięta will take place on Full Frame Documentary Festival in Durnham in USA. The festival will take place from 7th to 14 of April 2011. It is the 14th edition of the festival, which is one of the most important documentary film festival in the world. In the oncoming edition the audience will watch 60 movies chosen from 1200 applied films.

"Kites" in Lublin

A movie by Beata Dzianowicz will be shown on 24th of February at 6p.m. in Academic Center of Culture Chatka Żaka in Lublin. The screening was planned as an accompanying event to Marcin Suder's photography exhibition ,,Afghanistan. Craving for life" organized by Polish Humanitarian Action as a part of educational campaing in Chatka Żaka. The exhibition will last till 18th of March.
