Premiere of "The Art of Silence"

At the end of March legendary Iluzjon cinema was back to life for one evening. It happened due to a premiere of documentary movie "The Art of Silence" directed by Rafael Lewandowski and produced by Eureka Media for Channel TVP Kultura. This movie is a portrait of professor Jerzy Mierzejewski, painter and exceptional teacher, long-term dean of Polish National Film School in Łódź, who has become an authority for many generations of film directors and cinematographers.
The cinema was full of viewers, attracted by the event. After the screening began the discussion, in which took part film editor Anna Wagner, Maciej Mazurek an editor of TVP Kultura as well as close friend of professor Mierzejewski and cinematographer Jakub Giza. The debate was moderated by producer Krzysztof Kopczyński. Authors emphasized enormous effort of professor himself in the creation of the film as well as his great influence in final shape of it, especially its visual side. For the reason of bad health Professor was not able to participate in a premiere personally, but through the director and his friends he send the message that movie included everything he had wanted to say.
After official part discussion moved to foyer, where participants were treated with a glass of wine.
