"The First Day" awarded in Lisbon

"The First Day"
Marcin Sauters film "The First Day" received the Johnnie Walker prize for best short documentary film at the 5th DOCLISBOA 2007 that took place in the capital of Portugal, and ended on the 28th of October
The film was made under the „Russia and Poland. New Gaze” project, 2nd edition. The project was realized by Eureka Media and Adam Mickiewicz Institute with the financial support of the Polish Film Institute and Polish and Russian film schools. Marcin Sauter himself was the films cinematographer, the sound was realized by Michał Marczak, edited by Tymek Wiskirski and the production was managed by Agnieszka Janowska. Krzysztof Kopczyński is the producer of the film (Eureka Media), TVP Kultura the co-producer. The film was submitted in Lisbon thanks to the Cracow Film Foundation which is responsible of the films festival distribution.
