"My Friend the Terrorist" - Eureka Media's new project - at the Baltic Sea Forum
2008-09-07
The Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries is a pitching for documentary projects that might interest international audience. This year the forum took place between the 3-7 of September in Riga, Latvia. Eureka Media's news project "My Friend the Terrorist" was presented at the pitching. During the forum there will also be a screening of Krzysztof Kopczyński's film "Stone Silence".
Marcin Mamoń and Mariusz Pilis the authors of the project "My Friend Terrorist" are directors who regularly find themselves in the hottest areas of our globe. From more then 15 years they have been bringing us closer the essence of the Wars in the Caucasus and Afghanistan. This time they will take us to the darkest nooks of Western civilization, the underground world of mafia, war criminals and Islamic fundamentalists blended in European societies and existing outside the democratic order. An excuse for this trip will be an effort to find out the circumstances of Shamil Basayev's death, for many years considered to be one of the most dangerous terrorists in the world. Krzysztof Kopczyński is the producer of the film.
"Stone Silence" has been shown three times during the forum: 4.09 at 6:30 PM (with a Q&A session with the director Krzysztof Kopczyński after the screening), 6.09 at 5:00 PM and 7.09 at 6:00 PM. All the screenings will take place in the K.Suns. Cinema.
