"The Allies" - Description
The history and behind the scenes of Poland joining NATO. Featured in the film are: general Wesley Clark, Bronisław Geremek, Janusz Onyszkiewicz, George Robertson. Unseen archive footage from NATO headquarters was used.
30 minutes long documentary directed by Rafał Mierzejewski sums up the experiences of the first year of Poland’s presence in NATO. It includes among other things politicians and military men comments evaluating our contribution to NATO structures and opinions of polish officers who serve in the organization. The film was produced in five language versions (Polish, English, French, German and Russian) made to order of Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with press and information department of Polish Ministry of National Defense. The film will be distributed by embassies, consulates and cultural institutes. The documentary will be shown to soldiers serving in NATO.
