"Stone Silence" at the WATCHDOCS Traveling Film Festival »

Krzysztof Kopczyński’s documentary film "Stone Silence" will be shown as part of the WATCHDOCS Traveling Film Festival " Human Rights in Film". The event will be connected with the "Human Rights in Film" International Film Festival which takes place in Warsaw. The Traveling Festival visits cities in Poland presenting films to the audience chosen from the repertoire of the WATCHDOCS FESTIVAL in Warsaw. This year as part of the 6th edition, the screenings will take place in more then 20 cities in Poland.

The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is one of the biggest documentary film festivals in North America. This years 15th edition took place in Toronto between the 17-27 of April 2008. The film "52 percent" took part in the festival. Rafał Skalski’s documentary was shown in the "World Showcase" section.

"52 Percent" awarded in Gdańsk

Between the 24-27 of April the 6th edition of Gdańsk DocFilm Festival Dignity and Work took place. Rafał Skalski’s film "52 percent", which took part in the "Artistic Passions" competition has received the main prize – "Freedom Gate" statue. The screening took place on Friday the 25th of April at 10:00 PM in the Neptun cinema theatre in Gdańsk.

OFFskar for "52 Percent"

Rafał Skalski’s documentary "52 Percent" has received the OFFskar 2008 award on Sunday, the 20th of April in the "Best Documentary Film" category. OFFskar’s are the awards of the Polish Independent Cinema awarded by the OFF FILM ACADEMY – a body of professionals ( filmmakers, journalists and producers) since 2005.

"Russia.Poland- New Gaze" screenings in Tel Aviv

Four films realized under the "Russia – Poland. New-Gaze" have been presented in Tel Aviv on the 24th of April: "The Suburban Train", "My Kieslowski", "The Seeds", "About the Truth". The screening took place in the "Bina" club and had a non-commercial character. It was prepared by Diana Sorokin - a participant of the twin project "Israel – Poland. New Gaze."
