"Stone Silence" Wins in Łódź »

"Stone Silence" has received the 1st Prize at the 1st About Family FOR Film Festival that finished on the 16th of October in Łódź. The jury consisting of Prof. Ewelina Nurczyńska-Fidelska, Prof. Mikołaj Jazdon, Prof. Grażyna Kędzielawska and Wojciech Maciejewski have awarded Krzysztof Kopczyński’s film for "portraying in a deep and credible way the world of Islamic culture through the prism of family, and for high workshop professionalism and artistic value." Thirty-five Polish documentary films from the years 2005-2008 took part in the festival competition. Hanna Polak collected the prize in the name of the filmmakers.

Between the 14-17 of October 2008 the in Łódz the Film festival About Family FOR took place. Krzysztof Kopczyński’s documentary film "Stone Silence" took part in the "Without Anesthesia" competition review. The screening took place on Wednesday the 15th of October at 12:00 PM in the ŁDK cinema.

Special Diploma for "52 Percent" in Petersburg

For the 2nd time this year Rafał Skalski's film "52 Percent" has been awarded in Petersburg. This time it has received the Special Diploma at the Open St. Petersburg Student Film Festival "Beginning", which took place between the 25.09-1.10.2008. The Jury has granted the diploma for "For genuine cinematic decision and harmony".
