On the 11th of February Krzysztof Kopczyński was a guest of the "Polskie Radio dla Zagranicy" (Foreign edition of the Polish Radio) which is part of the polish public radio which is directed to foreigners and Poles living abroad, broadcasted in seven languages. n the program “Gość Radia dla Zagranicy" (Guest of the foreign edition) Krzysztof Kopczyński talked with the host Michał Strzałkowski about the film "Stone Silence" and if not only understanding between different cultures is possible but also any kind of dialogue.

"52 Percent" and "Stone Silence" at Docs Barcelona »

On the 31st of January and the 2nd of February 2008, films "52 percent" and "Stone Silence" were presented in Barcelona as part of the second edition of the International Documentary Film festival "Docs Barcelona". The films were shown on January 31 at 17h30 and on February 2 at 22h at Cine Alexandra in Barcelona. There was a Q&A session after the screening of 2 February.

"Stone Silence" and "52 Percent" at the Nationwide Festival of the Film Art "Prowincjonalia" »

The film "Stone Silence" (dir. Krzysztof Kopczyński) and "52 percent" (dir. Rafał Skalski) took part in the feature and documentary films competition at the Nationwide Festival of the Film Art "Prowincjonalia 2008". The festival will took place in Września on the 6-9 February of this year. "Prowincjonalia" focus on Polish feature, television and documentary films and ones that concentrate on village, small town or artistic themes dominated by simple and universal values.

"52 Percent" and "The First Day" in Belfast »

Between the 10-19 of April 2008 in Northern Ireland the "Belfast Film Festival" will take place. The films "52 percent" and "The First Day" have been invited to take part in the 3rd edition of the "Maysles Brothers Competition for Best Documentary". The competition concentrates on "sociologically-political" themes (including Reconciliation and Divided Societies; Ulster Protestant Identity on Film; Film-makers; Human Rights and Film; Racism, Community and Film).

Screenings of the “Russia-Poland. New Gaze” project at the Yale University »

Films realized under the “Russia-Poland. New Gaze” project have been presented at the Yale University – one of the best universities in the United States. The screening took place on the 29th of January 2008, between 5:30 - 10:00 PM (the entrance was free). Mateusz Werner – film critic and the curator of the “Russia-Poland. New Gaze” project, was the special guest of the event. The screening was organized by: The Polish Culture Institute in New York, Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, The MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale.
